Bull tamer gored to death during jallikattu in Madurai
MADURAI: A 22-year-old bull tamer was gored to death during a jallikattu organised by a private body at the Keelakarai jallikattu arena in Madurai on Wednesday.
The deceased, Ayyanar of Valayankulam, was participating in the event held at the Kalaignar Centenary jallikattu arena, where several private jallikattu events have been conducted since January.
During the event, Ayyanar was fatally injured by a bull. Though he was rushed to Government Rajaji Hospital, he died en route. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
