It means there’s a child getting trapped in this heinous crime every eight minutes. The fear and trauma that children trapped in this trade go through and the sheer helplessness of the administration’s inability to protect its children have been explored in so many films before.

Now, Prarjun Majumder is making a film titled ‘Yard’ focusing on the magnitude of child trafficking in India.

The crime thriller, with a strong message to all, stars acting powerhouses like Shantilal Mukherjee and Rajatava Dutta along with Aishwarya Sen, Raghav Kumar and Aman Sinha in key roles.
Giving more details about the film’s plot the director shared, “The story is about a girl named Sneha (Aishwarya Sen) whose life is shattered after her brother Arjun (Raghav Kumar) gets kidnapped shortly after their father’s murder. She sets out on a mission to find her brother. However, Sneha’s life changes forever when she discovers the dark secrets of her father’s connection with the child trafficking business and meets Shoumik (Rajatava Dutta) whose younger son was also kidnapped by her father and sold to a collector (Shantilal Mukherjee). Soon, Sneha gets a lead in her search for her brother, but will she be able to find Arjun? That’s what forms the crux of the film along with a strong message.
