As Thiruvananthapuram city gears up for another Pongala festival, a group of artists is on a quest to convey the legend of goddess Bhadrakali and the birth of Kannaki through their brush strokes. Offering their worship to the goddess Attukal Devi through their art, artists Prince Thonnakkal, Sangeetha Prince, Saritha Suresh, Thara Sudheesh and V Ajithan have exhibited a series of mural paintings titled, Attukalamma.
The artists have conceived the 'Kannaki Charitham’ and chronicles of the Attukal temple as themes for the 16 large paintings exhibited at the show. The open exhibition held at the premises of the Attukal Devi Temple will conclude on March 10.
