Young, fresh and talented: City students impress at Day 1 of Audition Hub

Hub was held on September 28 and 29 for all the students who missed out on the initial college auditions.

Day 1 of the audition began with a power-packed

performance

by student Shubham Kshirsagar. He presented a classical dance performance, which wowed our celebrity judge Mayuri Kapadane. Despite not being trained in the art form, Shubham managed to garner a big round of applause for his talent. This was followed by student Ritika Chatterjee’s emotional monologue about her relationship with her father, that left the crowds teary-eyed.
Student Kuldeep Mali performed an original piece composed, written and sung by him. The track, an amalgamation of ghazal and rap, left Mayuri impressed as well, who later told us, “I have judged a contest like this for the first time and I am amazed by the kind of talent these youngsters have showcased. If only I could have selected all of them!”

In the end 20 students were selected for the semi-finals – Pranay Mukherjee, Sakshi Gurnani, Ritika Chatterjee, Kuldeep Mali, Shardul More, Shubham Kshirsagar, Adesh Mhalsekar, Riya Shroff, Sonali Yadav, Shubham Mahale, Darshan Rathi, Lichita Nahar, Asmay Patil, Isha Adhav, Samiksha Suvarna, Abhishek Samanta, Aditi Dharmadhikari, Esha Choudhary, Arya Bhagwat and Aishwarya Deshmukh. Soumitra Mundewadi and Arjita Jadon won the Everyuth Mr and Miss Happy Skin titles.
