Ishani Dave releases a new single, part of a series of original Gujarati folk songs

Gujarati folk has a rich collection of songs that are unheard of by the young generation of music lovers. And various Gujarati artists including Aditya Gadhavi have been trying to bring those old classics and folk gems back into the public memory by either recreating them or giving them a new musical lease of life. In one such effort, singer Ishani Dave has released her song Vadhaavo, a Gujarati wedding song that talks about the emotional journey during a wedding.
The song is a part of a series of songs Ishani plans to release with her initiative called 'Let's Be a Little More Gujarati.' Through the series of these recreated and reworked Gujarati folk songs, Ishani wishes to engage the young audience and keep the Gujarati folk musical tradition alive.
