Malvika Raaj, best remembered for her role as young Kareena Kapoor Khan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, is now gearing up for a new role in real life: motherhood. The actress, who married entrepreneur Pranav Bagga in November, is expecting her first child later this year.Opening up about this new chapter, Malvika shares, “It’s such a mix of emotions — excitement, nervousness, and everything in between. But I think that’s quite normal for a first-time mom. It’s a big change, and I’m trying to take it one day at a time.”She admits the reality of becoming a mom hasn’t fully sunk in yet. She says, “Honestly, it still feels surreal. But the thought of meeting our little one keeps me going. I plan to take some time off initially to make sure everything goes smoothly and to fully soak in those special first moments. Those moments are priceless and irreplaceable. But once I find a rhythm and things settle, I definitely want to get back to work.My career is equally important to me, and I look forward to returning with fresh energy and perspective.”To stay centered and support her overall well-being, Malvika has embraced a wellness-focused routine. “I’ve been practising yoga three to four times a week, and it’s been such a blessing,” she says, adding, “It’s not just about preparing for delivery; yoga has helped ease aches and pains, uplift my mood, and significantly improved my sleep. Thanks to the serotonin boost, I feel much more balanced. It’s become an essential part of my routine, and I’d love to continue it even after the baby arrives.
She concludes, “I’ve also become very mindful of what I eat and how I rest — just listening to my body and giving it what it needs during this special phase.”
