At today’s press event for Anupam Kher’s upcoming directorial Tanvi The Great, Kajol introduced Shubhangi as the lead actress. The event took an unexpected turn when Anupam’s mother, Dulari Kher, lost her balance on stage. However, Kajol swiftly stepped in to assist, ensuring her safety and composure.

A Lighthearted Moment During the Press Conference
At a press conference on Monday, Kajol was posing for the photographers when an unexpected moment unfolded. While Anupam Kher hosted the event with his mother Dulari and lead actress Shubhangi in attendance, Dulari suddenly lost her balance and nearly fell. Reacting quickly, Kajol caught her by the arm and helped her regain stability. Anupam, grateful for the gesture, thanked Kajol and blessed her. Kajol, with a laugh, joked, "Aur main aadhi gir bhi gayi" (And, I took half a tumble), to which Anupam quipped that this mishap would bring extra luck to the film.

Tanvi The Great will be Anupam Kher’s second directorial venture after a 23-year gap. Reflecting on his earlier directorial debut, Om Jai Jagadish, he shared that while the story wasn’t his own, the experience was exciting. He realized his true passion was acting but felt that, when the right story came along—one he deeply connected with—he would direct again. After 23 years of searching, he finally found such a story and spent over three years working on it. The film was shot last year, and this year, it’s set to be shared with the world.
