Nick Jonas reveals what drew him to Priyanka Chopra: 'I was so excited to learn about her work in Indian cinema'

Nick Jonas recently shared heartfelt details about what captivated him during the early days of his relationship with Priyanka Chopra. Speaking at the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) 2024, Nick revealed his admiration for Priyanka’s illustrious career in Indian cinema and her rich cultural heritage.

“I was so excited to learn about her career and familiarize myself with her work in Indian cinema,” Nick said, adding that this introduction deepened his appreciation for Bollywood films and Hindi music. Over time, he developed a playlist of Hindi songs and immersed himself in Indian traditions, showcasing how love can foster cultural understanding.


Priyanka, on her part, reminisced about her early career and shared how she balanced personal and professional commitments during her wedding preparations. While filming in Old Delhi, her team transformed her set into a space for both makeup and wedding planning, underscoring her multitasking prowess.

Reflecting on her cinematic journey, Priyanka recalled her dedication during Don, where she trained in Tai Chi to perfect her role under the guidance of director Farhan Akhtar. “By the time I came to Don, I had realized that the most important thing is focusing on your craft, not relationships or set behavior, but what you do between action and cut,” she said.

Priyanka’s global stardom continues to soar. Following her recent success in the action series Citadel, she is now working on Heads of State with Idris Elba. She also has The Bluff in her kitty.
