Zaheer Iqbal shares Salman Khan’s hilarious reaction to his relationship with Sonakshi Sinha: 'Gayi bhains paani mein'

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who had been in a relationship for a long time, began a new chapter in their lives in 2024 by tying the knot on June 23 in a beautiful ceremony. The couple’s wedding reception in Mumbai was a star-studded affair, with Salman Khan, who shares a close bond with them, in attendance.
In a recent interview with Connect Cine, Zaheer Iqbal revealed Salman Khan’s humorous reaction when he first realized they were dating. Zaheer shared that Salman had sensed something between them even before they officially disclosed their relationship.
Recalling an early incident, Zaheer said he and Sonakshi had been talking for just three or four weeks and liked each other. During that time, they had a minor argument and were sitting in a grumpy mood, not talking to each other for hours.
Zaheer recounted, “Salman walked in, and we didn’t realize he was observing us. He just shook his head in a way that said, ‘Gayi bhains paani mein (situation is out of control).’” He added that Salman saw him sulking during a trek and laughed a lot. “It was really funny,” Zaheer concluded.

Both Sonakshi and Zaheer owe their Bollywood debuts to Salman Khan, who has mentored them in their careers. Speaking about Salman’s knack for spotting talent, Zaheer said, “At the point when he offered her a film and when he offered me a film, if you had seen us then, you would’ve been like, ‘This man is a visionary; isko kya dikha (what did he see) that these people can be groomed to become actors?’” He added, “Salman has some kind of a sixth sense.”

The couple’s wedding reception was a grand celebration attended by several celebrities, including Rekha, Kajol, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, and Huma Qureshi. The event was held at a luxurious venue in Mumbai, marking a joyous occasion filled with love and laughter.
