This Sunday evening, theatre lovers can enjoy a unique play on space and ownership.
Manav Kaul's play called
Park, has many layers and it takes a light-hearted look at the issues of space, ownership and territory that inevitably leads to questions of identity and belonging.
It is however a comedy about three men in a park fighting for their spot. And, there are three benches but is not enough for them.
The play beautifully touches upon that thing which is at a premium these days – space – literally and metaphorically. What starts off as light-hearted banter evolves into a serious conflict about space, territory, and ownership. According to the makers, the play can be many things, including a metaphor for home.
