Actor Indrans’ mother Gomathi passes away

Mollywood actor Indrans’ mother Gomathi breathed her last on Thursday morning (7 April) at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram. She was 90. The funeral ceremony will be held at 1 pm at Shanthikavadam in Thiruvananthapuram. Indrans’ mother Gomathi was bedridden for the past few months and when her health condition worsened, resulting in complete memory loss, she was admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College on the last day.

Being the third son to the nine kids of his parents Palavila Kochuvelu and Gomathi, Indrans is married to Shanthakumari and has two kids named Mahitha and Mahendran. Indran’s father Kochuvelu passed away earlier owing to health issues.
Indrans made his acting debut with the film ‘Choothattam’ which was released in the year 1981. The actor made his breakthrough with his comedy role in the Jayaram starrer film ‘CID Unnikrishnan BA, B.Ed’ which was directed by the renowned filmmaker Rajasenan. Indrans later played several notable roles in umpteen Malayalam movies.

The recently released feel-good drama movie ‘Home’ directed by Rojin Thomas showed a different kind of serious acting style from Indrans. His father character Oliver Twist in the movie got much adulation from the audience and the film was a humongous hit in the year 2021. Indrans also played a prominent role in the recently released Kunchacko Boban starrer film 'Pada' where he played the character named Kannan Mundoor.
Indrans also has several highly ambitious projects in the pipeline that includes ‘Kaapa’, ‘Jackson Bazar Youth’, ‘2403 ft.’, ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’, ‘Jack N Jill’, and ‘Malayankunju’.
