Priya Gill, once a well-known name in Indian cinema, is remembered for her multiple roles across Bollywood, South Indian films, and regional cinema. Born on December 9, 1975, in Punjab, she began her journey as a model, winning the title of Femina Miss India International in 1995 and representing India at the Miss International pageant the same year. Her beauty and talent soon paved the way for her entry into films. However, has now left the entertainment world.
Bollywood debut
Priya made her Bollywood debut in 'Tere Mere Sapne', produced by Amitabh Bachchan's ABCL. Though the film didn't perform well commercially, her portrayal of Paro Shastri earned her recognition and opened doors to several opportunities. She gained widespread acclaim for her role as Aarti in 'Sirf Tum', a romantic drama that became a box-office hit.
Collaborations with top stars
In her career, she was seen sharing the screen space with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema. In 'Josh', she played Rosanne alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai in a tale of rivalry and love. She also acted opposite Nagarjuna in 'Bagunnara' and 'Rayalaseema Ramanna Chowdary', in Telugu cinema. Her Tamil debut came with 'Red', where she starred alongside Ajith Kumar.

In Malayalam cinema, she appeared in Priyadarshan’s 'Megham' opposite Mammootty. She played Meenakshi, a simple village girl whose innocence and charm won over audiences. The film remains one of the few collaborations between Mammootty and Priyadarshan.
Sudden exit amidst rumors
Despite a promising career, Priya Gill abruptly left the film industry in 2006. Her departure was surrounded by speculation. One controversial incident involved a fake video claiming she was homeless and eating food at a gurdwara, which caused immense distress despite being proven false. Other reports suggested she left due to discomfort with certain roles or scenes offered to her.
Since stepping away from the silver screen limelight, Priya has remained out of public view. A Mathrubhumi report suggests that she currently resides in Denmark. During her decade-long career, Priya acted in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bhojpuri films.
