India A vs England Lions Live Score, 1st Unofficial Test: England Lions' Tom Haines responded strongly to India A with a calm century after Karun Nair’s brilliant double hundred propelled the visitors to a massive total of 557 on day two of the four-day unofficial Test.At stumps, the Lions stood at 237/2 in 52 overs, with Haines unbeaten on 103 from 147 balls, anchoring the innings. They will get their response underway on Day 3 with a trail of 320 runs.Haines reached his 15th first-class century late on the day, achieving it off 138 balls with 11 boundaries.Following the early loss of Ben McKinney (16), bowled by seamer Anshul Kamboj, Haines took control of the innings.Kamboj impressed with his opening spell, swinging the ball both ways and maintaining excellent control.Haines was joined by fellow left-hander Emilio Gay, and together they steadied the innings with a strong 109-run partnership.Gay narrowly missed a half-century, scoring 46 off 90 balls with eight fours before falling to left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey.Max Holden then came in and displayed positive intent, scoring a quick 64 from 61 balls, including eight fours and a six.Haines and Holden added 106 runs together, helping the Lions close the day on a high note.India A captain Abhimanyu Easwaran used six bowlers to try and halt the Lions’ momentum, but neither Haines nor Holden gave away chances, showing a good balance of composure and aggression.Earlier, Karun Nair, back in the Indian Test scene after eight years, showed his class with a magnificent 204 off 281 balls, featuring 26 boundaries and a six.Starting from 186 overnight, Karun reached his double hundred with a cover four off pacer Eddie Jack after 272 balls.India A then lost two quick wickets: Dhruv Jurel, who made 94, and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who scored 7. Karun and Jurel had put on 195 runs for the fourth wicket before Jurel’s dismissal.Karun’s innings ended shortly after his double century, edging a delivery from pacer Zaman Akhter to the wicketkeeper James Rew.Following Karun’s dismissal, the Lions’ pacers struck regularly to dismantle the rest of the India A batting lineup.
