Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir has firmly shut down speculation about a rift with captain Rohit Sharma
, calling such rumours baseless and driven by social media narratives.
Speaking at the ABP India At 2047 Summit, Gambhir addressed the issue head-on, making it clear that the relationship between him and Rohit is built on mutual respect and professionalism.

“We won the Champions Trophy just two months ago—imagine if we hadn’t. What kind of questions would you be asking me then?” He expressed disbelief that, despite a major ICC trophy win under his and Rohit’s leadership, rumours of a rift continue to be circulated.
