"I was just trying to utilise the new ball. The powerplay was important as the older ball turns and stops. I wanted to play the field, rather than the wicket or the bowler. Whenever a fine leg or third-man was up, I just had to use the bowler's pace. I felt I was hitting the ball too hard in the previous two games, that is something I analysed and changed today. Wd W 1 1 6 2 2 - Brilliant final over from Sandeep Sharma. Everybody was expecting Jofra Archer, 1 for 13 in 3 overs, to come out to bowl the last over, but the Royals sent Sandeep and it turned out to be a successful gamble as the Royals registered their first win of the season.

Defending 20 , the pacer started with a wide but got rid of 'dangerous' MS Dhoni off the first legitimate delivery to push CSK into the backfoot. And in the end, he conceded just 13 runs in it and handed the Royals a deserving six-wicket win.

What a catch! Shimron Hetmyer takes a stunning catch to end MS Dhoni's 11-ball 16 cameo. Sandeep Sharma with the big wicket. The Royals are on top now, but it's not over yet.

What a turnaround in the innings. CSK made a stunning comeback after the Royals batters laid a solid foundation for a massive total.

Matheesha Pathirana bowled a superb last over, conceding jusr seven runs in it. The pacer returned figures of 2 for 28 in four overs.

From 123/2 in 11.2 overs, the Royals could only manage to post 182/9 in the end. The hosts lost seven wickets for 59 runs in the last 8.4 overs.

CSK will be very happy with the second half of the innings.

WHAT A CATCH! Vijay Shankar produces a stunning diving catch at deep mid-wicket to dismiss Wanindu Hasaranga off Ravindra Jadeja.

Like Pathirana, Shankar also dived forward to take the stunning catch in the deep. It took the third umpire some time to check the catch.

BIG WICKET! Second wicket for Noor Ahmad. Pathirana takes a stunning catch to end Dhruv Jurel's short stay in the middle.

Pathirana dived full stretched forward to complete the catch. Dhruv went for a booming lofted drive over cover against the overpitched delivery from Ahmad. But the ball turned away and took a thick edge. Timely breakthrough for CSK as it should stop the Royals batters to go for big shots against every ball for the time being.

MASSIVE WICKET! Ravichandran Ashwin gives CSK a major breakthrough, removing on-fire Nitish Rana. Rana charges out but misses the delivery completely and MS Dhoni completes the stumping.

Ashwin fired it out wide outside off, Rana had committed to running down the pitch and he's stranded after failing to reach it. Dhoni gathered it and completed the stumping. A fine knock from Rana.

Rana scored 81 off just 36 balls, which included five sixes and 10 fours.

CSK need more wickets soon to stop the Royals from reaching 200.

6 4 - Nitish Rana (81*) is unstoppable tonight. He smokes Ravichandran Ashwin over cow corner and follows it up with a four towards deep backward point for a boundary.

Matheesha Pathirana comes into the attack and starts with a wide. The extra brings up 100 for the Royals in the 11th over.

BOOM! Riyan Parag then smoked the CSK pacer for a massive six over deep square leg off the first legitimate delivery. It is the Royals skipper's first boundary of the match.

GOOD REVIEW! Nitish Rana, on 61, immediately took the review after the umpire raised his finger for LBW off Ravichandran Ashwin. The replay showed that the ball was missing the leg stump. The wicket could have been devastating for the Royals as they would have lost both the set batters in quick succession. But now they can revive the run charge again with Nitish still in the middle.

BIG WICKET! Noor Ahmad comes into the attack and straightaway provides CSK a big breakthrough.

The dangerous 82-run partnership ended as CSK breathed a little sigh of relief. Sanju Samson hit it straight to Rachin Ravindra at long-off.

Samson scored 20 off 16 balls with the help of one six and a four.

Rana follows it up with a massive six to make it another big over for the Royals.
