Canon has unveiled its new lineup of large format printers, the imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 and TX Series (TX-5420/5320/5220). These new models offer both single function and multi-function large format printing solutions, catering to the diverse needs of industries such as graphic design, architecture, engineering, and construction.
The imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 promises to deliver high-speed, large-volume prints, meeting the productivity needs of sectors like construction, design, and manufacturing. The TX series extends its capabilities to cover a broad range of printing requirements, including drawings, posters, and bulletin boards.
The company claims that the new printers are designed to enhance productivity and poster quality with vivid coluors, making them ideal for the CAD industries, corporate and government sectors, and in-house production of corporate materials. The inclusion of advanced magenta ink and automatic ink sensing technology ensures improved colour vibrancy, sharpness, and reduced downtime.
The new printers also boast enhanced image processing technology, enabling deeper and more vivid quality prints even on plain paper. They can achieve high-speed printing, with the imagePROGRAF TZ-5320 capable of printing up to 4 pages per minute and the TX series up to 3.3 pages per minute.
Additional features include an advanced Smart Roll Paper Set function, which automatically detects paper feed and type, estimates the remaining paper quantity, and reduces the time it takes to load the roll paper. The new models also feature an ink sensing system that optimises ink landing position and a colour calibration function that corrects for variations in output colour due to print head differences and aging.
Toshiaki Nomura, President & CEO of Canon India, emphasized the company's commitment to innovation, stating, "With the printing industry in India witnessing rapid transformation driven by evolving customer needs, Canon remains steadfast in its mission to introduce pioneering solutions that meet the dynamic demands of the market and customers. Our latest imagePROGRAF TZ and TX series reflects this commitment, offering enhanced speed, precision, and versatility."
