Dipika Kakar, best known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, is all set to undergo surgery tomorrow morning after being diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. The heartbreaking news was shared by her husband and fellow actor
Shoaib Ibrahim, who has been by her side through this difficult phase.
In an emotional note, Shoaib informed fans, “Dippi’s surgery is scheduled to happen tomorrow morning. It’s going to be a long surgery. She needs all your prayers and strength the most. Please keep her in your prayers.” He earlier revealed that doctors had found a tennis ball-sized tumour in Dipika’s liver during a series of medical tests, initially prompted by stomach pain and flu symptoms.
While the surgery was earlier postponed due to severe congestion in Dipika’s chest along with cold and cough, the couple had been waiting for a go-ahead from doctors at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. “The doctors advised waiting as surgery in this condition could be risky,” Shoaib shared.
