Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi warned such action would be "very dangerous for everyone." Meanwhile, experts say only America’s bunker-buster bombs could target Iran’s heavily fortified Fordo nuclear site.Earlier in the day, Israel’s military announced it struck Iranian nuclear research facility in Isfahan overnight and killed three senior Iranian commanders in targeted operations, while signaling preparations for a prolonged conflict.
The conflict began on June 13, when Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, military installations, top commanders, and nuclear scientists. According to a Washington-based Iranian human rights organization, the attacks have so far claimed at least 722 lives—among them 285 civilians—and left over 2,500 injured. In response, Iran has launched over 450 missiles and around 1,000 drones at Israel, according to estimates from the Israeli military. While Israel’s layered air defense systems have intercepted the majority of the attacks, at least 24 people have been killed and hundreds more injured.
