When Karisma Kapoor spoke about her intense kissing scene with Aamir Khan in 'Raja Hindustani': 'We were shivering away between takes'

Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor’s 1996 blockbuster 'Raja Hindustani' became one of the most celebrated films in Bollywood. Aamir and Karisma’s sensational on-screen kiss became the talk of the town after the film’s release. People say, ‘Oh, that kiss’ and all, but what we went through during that shoot for three days… In Ooty, in February… we were like, ‘Kab khatam ho raha hai yeh kiss scene?’” she shared.She further explained how the weather made the shoot even more challenging: “It was freezing cold with storm, fans, and cold water. We worked in those conditions from 7 am till 6 in the evening, shivering away between takes. That was a different era of, I think, working under such circumstances.”Dharmesh Darshan about the sceneThe film’s director, Dharmesh Darshan, had previously revealed in an interview with Lehren Retro that Karisma’s mother, Babita Kapoor, was present throughout the three-day shoot of the intimate sequence.
