Jr NTR starrer 'Devara: Part 1' completes censorship formalities; receives UA certificate

'Devara: Part 1' is the most anticipated film of the month, with its release set for September 27th. Directed by Koratala Siva, this high-octane action thriller stars Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. The film is set in the forgotten coastal regions of India, with intense action sequences.
According to reports by Cinejosh, the film has successfully completed its censorship formalities, earning a UA certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The filmmakers seem confident, having received the clearance well in advance of the release for a smooth domestic and internal release. There’s already a lot of excitement surrounding the movie. For the USA premieres alone, more than 30,000 tickets have been sold in record time, with 17 days still remaining before the film hits the screens shared by the makers on X (formerly Twitter). This kind of early buzz indicates that 'Devara' is set for a massive opening worldwide.
The trailer launch event, held recently in Mumbai, was another significant moment in the movie's promotion. Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and the director were present at the event, where the trailer was unveiled to eager fans. The response to the trailer has been overwhelmingly positive.
'Devara: Part 1' centres on a story of friendship and betrayal spanning multiple generations. Jr NTR plays dual roles, portraying both a father and his son. Saif Ali Khan plays a powerful antagonist, marking his debut in Telugu cinema alongside Janhvi Kapoor, who is also making her Telugu debut.

The supporting cast includes well-known actors such as Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Tom Shine Chacko, and Narain, all playing significant roles. With stunning visuals, underwater action sequences, and a unique plot, the movie's expectations are high.
'Devara: Part 1' will be released in five languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, catering to a pan-India audience.
