Call Me Bae season 2: Ananya Panday kicks off shoot; shares pic

And Bella, aka Bae is back! Earlier his morning, Ananya Panday took to her IG handle to announce that she has started shooting for her webseries Call Me Bae season 2, and posted a pic from the sets! Take a look.

Earlier, it was announced that the much popular series will be back. Through a collaborative post, it was announced, "Our day couldn’t get any bae-tter, Bella is coming to swoon us over again with a new season. #CallMeBaeOnPrime, S2 in development."

Call Me Bae is the story of Bella, an elite Delhi heiress, whose family suddenly goes bankrupt, forcing Bella to give up her good life, and move to Mumbai to make a name for herself, even as her personal life is in complete shambles! Once she lands in the city of dreams, she realises that making a name for oneself is harder than it look, and money does not come easy.
While on Ananya, she and Suhana Khan have shared a deep-rooted friendship since their childhood that has been nurtured by their families' close ties. Growing up together, they have created countless memories, from playdates at Shah Rukh Khan's home to supporting each other’s dreams in the film industry.
Ananya has recently opened up on her friendship with Shah Rukh, who she affectionately refers to as “SRK,” highlights the connections that transcend industry barriers. In an interview with Mid-day, she fondly recalled how she calls him “SRK” in casual settings and “Shah Rukh uncle” or “Shah Rukh sir” in professional contexts. “He likes being in our gang, and with us, he is always going to be SRK,” she said, reflecting on their familial-like relationship. This informal rapport showcases a side of Shah Rukh that many fans might not see—his ability to connect deeply with those around him, treating them as equals rather than as mere fans or industry peers.
Ananya reminisced about her upbringing, where she witnessed Shah Rukh manage his fame gracefully. “We didn’t even realize until he went and stood outside Mannat and we saw those thousands of people come,” she noted. For her, he was not just a superstar but a father figure who actively participated in their lives. She praised his dedication to his children—Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam—saying, “He is one of the best fathers.”

She further added, “Suhana always says that even though he shoots for like 12-16 hours he will always come home and spend time with his children and involve in their college admissions and their homework and everything. Like any problem that I am facing, I can talk to him about it and he is very non-judgmental.”
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunk’i , his next project is ‘King’, where he will share screen space with daughterSuhana Khan. Meanwhile, Ananya Panday is set to appear in Shankara, a biopic featuring Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan that tells the story of lawyer C. Sankaran Nair during British India.
