AMC to select new standing committee on September 11

Ahmedabad: As the term of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s standing committee chief Hitesh Barot ended on Wednesday, 14 councillors submitted candidature forms for the new committee. The members and chairman will be selected at the general body meeting on September 11. Jatin Patel from Ghatlodia ward, the chairman of AMC’s water and sewerage committee, is a strong contender for the top post, along with Devang Dani from Bodakdev ward and Pritesh Mehta from Paldi ward.tnn
