'Held me at gunpoint, shaved my head': UP man gives triple talaq for not bearing son

In a shocking incident in Meerut's Shaikhan Chowk, Sheeba, a 35-year-old woman, was allegedly tonsured, assaulted, and humiliated by her husband, Amir, for failing to bear a son. Amir, along with an accomplice, Mahmood, reportedly held her at gunpoint and shaved her head with the support of his family.

In Hapur, a woman's body was discovered inside a suitcase near NH-9, showing signs of strangulation and decomposition. ASP Vineet Bhatnagar reported the unidentified victim, in her late 20s, had injuries and was found with specific clothing and black threads tied to her. The location, lacking CCTV, is near a highway stretch known for discarded bodies.
