Central Command’s investiture ceremony on Feb 15, 16
Lucknow: The Indian Army's Central Command will host its investiture ceremony at Uttar Bharat Area Headquarters in Bareilly on Feb 15 and 16.
The event will be presided over by Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command.
"The ceremony is a solemn occasion to honour and recognise the exceptional bravery and exemplary service of army personnel who have gone beyond their call of duty towards the accomplishment of the assigned tasks both in operational and administrative spheres," said the spokesperson of ministry of defence, Lucknow.
During the ceremony, gallantry awards and distinguished service medals will be presented to officers, junior commissioned officers and other ranks.
A total of 23 medals will be awarded.
One distinguished Bar to Vishisht Seva Medal will given to Major General DS Bisht.
Five Vishisht Seva Medal for distinguished service will be given.
Further one Bar to Sena Medal will be awarded.
