Vijay Sethupathi's much-anticipated film 'Ace' had a modest start at the box office, with collections gradually picking up over its first four days. The film minted Rs 62 lakhs as per the early estimates.
Box office trendsAccording to trade analyst Sacnilk, the movie earned around Rs 1 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 1.62 crore on the second day, marking a 62% jump. The third day saw a slight increase with Rs 1.7 crore, while the fourth day brought in approximately Rs 62 lakhs. Altogether, 'Ace' has collected a total of about Rs 4.94 crore in its initial days.
Theatre occupancyOn Monday, May 26, 2025, Ace recorded an overall occupancy rate of 14.98% in Tamil-speaking regions. The morning shows had a relatively low occupancy of 9.48%, but this improved during the afternoon with 18.37%. Evening and night shows saw occupancy rates of 14.12% and 17.96%, respectively, indicating a steady audience turnout throughout the day.
In the Telugu-speaking markets, the film experienced a slightly lower overall occupancy of 13.77% on the same day. Morning shows attracted 12.62% occupancy, which increased to 15.89% in the afternoon.
The evening and night shows had occupancy rates of 13.28% and 13.30%, respectively, showing consistent but modest audience interest.
