The wait is over. Patch 1.05 for Blue Prince is finally here, and it brings some much-needed fixes, especially if you've been stuck staring at the main menu screen for way too long. Patch 1.05 is live on Steam and tackles some of the most frustrating bugs players have faced since launch, including the dreaded loading freeze. Here’s a crisp breakdown of what’s new and what’s fixed.

Save Corruption & Loading Freeze Finally Resolved

One of the most significant fixes in this patch addresses save file corruption that caused game freezes when trying to load from the main menu. If you’ve been stuck in limbo, this was likely the culprit.While corrupted saves from before the patch can’t be recovered, the devs have now added a backup system—if your primary save gets corrupted in the future, the game will automatically load a backup version instead.For PlayStation Plus users, there’s a silver lining. You can try restoring an older cloud backup using the following steps:

Settings → Saved Data and Game/App Settings
Select “Saved Data (PS5)”
Go to “Download or Delete from Cloud Storage”
Choose Blue Prince, select your save
Hit Download
