Kyle Palmieri signs new two-year deal to stay with Islanders before free agency opens

Kyle Palmieri is staying with the New York Islanders. He signed a new two-year contract on Friday. The team did not say how much money he will get. Last season, Kyle Palmieri scored 24 goals and gave 24 assists. He was the third-best player on the team in goals and points. He could have become a free agent on July 1, but the Islanders kept him early.Kyle Palmieri has played in the NHL for several seasons. In the NHL Draft, the Anaheim Ducks chose him. He has played 900 games since then. He has scored 270 goals and made 257 assists. That’s a total of 527 points. In the playoffs, he has 18 goals and 14 assists in 68 games.
