The
National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key for NEET UG 2025 in the coming days, with the official announcement likely by the end of May. The undergraduate medical entrance examination, held on May 4, saw participation from over 20 lakh candidates across India.
While the NTA has not issued a formal confirmation, trends from previous years indicate that the provisional answer key is usually released within three to four weeks of the exam. Once published, the answer key—along with the candidates’ OMR response sheets and recorded answers—will be accessible on the official NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.
The release of the answer key will also open a limited-time window for candidates to raise objections. Each challenge will require supporting documentation and a prescribed fee. The final answer key and NEET UG 2025 results will be declared after scrutiny of the objections submitted.
When will NEET UG 2025 provisional answer key be released?
Although NTA has yet to officially announce a release date, past trends suggest a likely timeline. A look at previous years:
- NEET UG 2024: Exam held May 5; answer key released May 29
- NEET UG 2023: Exam held May 7; key released June 4
- NEET UG 2022: Exam held July 17; key released August 31
Given this pattern, the NEET UG 2025 provisional answer key is expected between May 29 and June 2, 2025. However, students should check the official website regularly for updates.
Where and how to download the answer key
Once published, the answer key will be made available on the official NEET NTA website: neet.nta.nic.in. To download:

What happens after the NEET UG final answer key?
Once all challenges have been assessed, the NTA will release the final answer key, which forms the basis for the evaluation of results. Following this, the NEET UG 2025 result and All India Rank (AIR) will be declared. The result will then be followed by the centralised counselling process for MBBS, BDS, and allied courses under MCC and various state authorities.
