His show, sasural genda phool (SGP) 2, is wrapping up on April 15 after completing four months as opposed to season one’s two-year run. He says, “Yes, the show is ending but I have no complaints. We made a good show. It’s just that we couldn’t get the audience we had expected. There could be multiple reasons. You can’t pin the blame on anyone in particular. Everything was in place and I am proud of the team associated with the show. Also, I can’t comment on how one gets the audience, as I don’t understand that aspect. As far as I am concerned, I got good feedback from people who watched the show. The makers have appreciated my work because Ishaan (Jay’s character in SGP) in the second season was different from the previous one. So, the actor in me is happy.”
